The Legend of Devil’s Bridge
Legend has it this bridge was named after The Devil appeared to a woman whose cow had become stuck crossing the river. The Devil offered to build a bridge in exchange for the first soul who crossed it. The woman agreed and the bridge appeared. However, in a quick witted twist, the woman threw bread across the bridge and her dog ran after it. Thus, out-witting the devil and not forfeiting her soul.
