TT Races, 25 May until 7 June
A little further afield from Lancashire and Cumbria, the Isle of Man TT Races are a must-see event for bikers around the world. Coming to their conclusion in early June, the races are one of the largest global racing events. The 37.73-mile course snakes around the Isle of Man, combining stunning views with exhilarating danger.
Regular ferries run from Heysham Port, providing transport to the Island.
John West Great North Swim, 7 June until 9 June
Being held at Brockhole on Windermere, the John West Great North Swim celebrates open water swimming in the Lakes. Whether you’re spectating or taking part, there is a lot to gain. For more, visit the main website for event details.
Light the Lakes 2019, 21 June until 23 June
The event was founded in 2012 to raise money for the orphaned children of murdered Surrey DC Heather Cooper. Retired PS, Ian Davis, and 594 officers climbed the Wainwright peaks and today people still attend to light beacons across the Lakes.
Garstang Scarecrow Festival, 5 July until 7 July
The annual event takes place in the market town of Garstang and is filled with entertainment for all members of the family. There were more than 180 scarecrows last year, so there’s sure to be more!
Leighton Classic Car Rally, 7 July
Running from 10 am until 4 pm, the Classic Car Rally at Leighton Hall near Yealand is a great day out. This year is the 20th anniversary, making it one not to miss. Our caravans are located close to the Hall within easy travel distance.
Kendal Calling, 25 July until 28 July
This year the popular festival features the Courteeners, Manic Street Preachers and Years and Years. In total 18 stages provide endless acts and entertainment, which is bound to keep you busy.
Caton Farmer’s Market, 3 August
Taking place at the Victoria Institute, here you will be able to find a selection of local fruit, vegetables and meat. Other events are also being held in Caton on June 1 and July 6.
Pendle Walking Festival, 10 August until 18 August
One of the UK’s largest walking festivals is taking place in Pendle in Lancashire and offers a variety of walks. Whether you are an experienced walker or are looking to explore the countryside, this event is ideal.
Lowther Show, 10 August until 11 August
Set in the beautiful countryside and in the grounds of a stately home, Lowther Festival features over 200 exhibition stands. From live music to food and drink, you’ll never be stuck for choice.
